Lance got his first machine, a PW 50, at the tender age of four years from his father. Only a year later and he was riding motocross and, with every race he took part in, he got better and better. At the age of 15, he switched to freestyle as he had started to find racing boring. Plus, Lance had the good fortune to live close to Gorman motocross track, which was owned and run by Shane Trittler. One of the freestyle moto pioneers, Shane always had a ramp set up at the track. Shane and his friends made it look like a lot of fun, so Lance kept begging him to let him try it out and fortunately he was nice enough to let Lance hit it. The rest is history.
