Product Description

Moby explains his design inspirations: "I started drawing cartoon characters in the mid 80's when I worked in an underground record store. Every bag that left the store had a drawing on it, and one of my jobs was to draw the cartoons on the bags. And since then the little cartoon characters have just taken on lives of their own. I have been familiar with Swatch watches for many years and have admired the sense of creativity that they convey and promote. Working with Swatch on this project provided an interesting opportunity to give new context to the 'Little Idiot' drawings and I really love the finished results."

Artist Biography

Multi-talented Moby originally hails from New York City and was firmly embroiled in making and performing music even during his childhood. Learning to play classical guitar at the age of 9, he subsequently studied music theory and - by the time he was just 14 years old - had joined a hardcore punk band in Connecticut, where he grew up. Moby studied philosophy at university while playing in another band, as well as refining his skills as DJ in his spare time. By the late-1980s, he had become a well respected fixture behind the decks at various seminal House and Hip Hop club nights in New York. His debut single, 'Go', released in 1991, became a dance music anthem around the world and kicked off a career that has since seen him selling over 20,000,000 records globally! Additionally, his amazing skills in the studio have kept him firmly in demand as a producer and remixer, ensuring he has worked with some of the biggest global talents from the genres of Rock, Hip Hop and Pop during the past few decades. No stranger to touring, Moby has played more than 3,000 concerts throughout his glittering career, and his music has complimented the soundtracks of countless feature films, ensuring its impact is as far reaching as possible. He is touring at the moment, promoting the album, 'Destroyed', which was released - in tandem with a book of the same name - to great acclaim back in 2011.
