Paris & La Clusaz (FRA)
Richard started skiing the age of 2 and between the ages of 7 and 15, he competed as an alpine racer. When he was 18, he made the transfer from racing to freestyle skiing, and now competes professionally. In winter 06/07, he climbed the hierarchy ladder of the freestylers step by step and presented his tricks in five films. He continued this road to success in the following season and he brought it to a (temporary) high point by winning the King of Style.
But it’s not all about results and competitions with Richard. According to his own statements, he is missing two important ingredients for absolute top results at competitions: he does not have the necessary ultimate will to win nor the daredevilry like Simon Dumont (whereas here we allow ourselves to note that he beat this Simon Dumont at the King of Style 2007 – quite immodestly). Still: He has quite a few film segments in this year’s rage film.

Rich, that is first of all a wide smile, a flowery language and the pulsating energy of his age. A nuclear core in uninterrupted fission, with and without skis.
