Laura Bohleber grew up in Stuttgart and in Frankfurt, where the great distance to the mountains reinforced her passion for them. At the age of five, she participated in her first ski race (against Vreni Schneider), which at the same time was the highlight and the completion of an Alpine ski racing career. From then on Laura looked for her luck in the forests of Verbier, where, after an internship with the patrollers in Laas and a stay in New Zealand, she exclusively spent her winters. A wise decision, because at the latest since her breakthrough in 2007, the 1.5-metre small Swiss girl has impressed the judges with her quick and still controlled skiing style.
