Rocket Air is an official tour stop of the FMB world tour (Freeride Mountain Bike world tour) and has been accredited with a Silver event status, for the second year in a row! The silver status helps attract big name riders, but there are other reasons. When the Thun ice rink is packed full of screaming spectators the atmosphere can reach a new level! As last years winner Sam Pilgrim energetically noted after the event : „This Event is actually one of my favourite ones of the year! It’s such a good atmosphere, I love it!“ Sam will be back to defend his Rocket air title, and will have to contend with the likes of Sam Reynolds, Szymon Godziek and Yannick Granieri who are all keen as to have a shot at the title. Incidentally this means that all podium placers of 2011 will be back in 2012.
