The Berlin based artist and illustrator brings a touch of powder and a dab of perfume to Soundless Dance (GW156). Pretty and feminine with its peach and rose palette, the watch is festooned with radiant illustrations of people and animals. With its Venetian-mask-like faces, rouged and red-lipped, and the stagy background of beige, white, and peach diamond shapes, the work speaks of performance. Hula-hoops and jugglers’ balls repeat the striped graphic themes and serve as visual guides to skip the eye along from the buckle to the tiptoes of this watch. Encased in white, this watch is a sugar cream puff of delicious, ladylike style.

Artist Biography
Tanja Székessy
Art and illustration ingénue Tanja Székessy, born in 1969, studied Visual Communication at the Berlin University of the Arts. Since graduating she has worked independently as a freelance designer for a variety of prestigious clients throughout Germany and abroad. Her idiosyncratic, fanciful fashion-scapes have the appeal of early Art Deco, with a modern, ultra-feminine Székessy twist. Her thematic use of humans and animals distinguishes her point of view, as does her signature palette of glowing, sparkling neutral colours offset with moments of intense colour.
