Terje Haakonsen
Terje Haakonsen has been called the best snowboarder ever, simply the king. Inventor of the famous ‘Haakon flip’, the Norwegian rebel was the dominant figure in freestyle snowboarding in the 1990s, with multiple U.S. Open, European and World Championships to his name. He also set the world record for the highest ‘air’ (9.8 meters) in 2007. A key member of the Swatch ProTeam, he co-founded The Artic Challenge, which led to the Swatch-sponsored TTR World Snowboard Tour.
