Sam Pilgrim overcame challenging weather and some very late nights in the making of a new video that showcases his impressive skills in daylight and under the night sky. We’re excited to present “Day & Night” starring Proteam freeride mountain biker Sam Pilgrim and a behind-the-scenes video showing what went into the seamless transitions from am to pm.
“Day & Night,” filmed in Kamloops, BC in Canada, shines a spotlight on Sam and his slopestyle tricks – literally. Videographer and director Scott Secco filmed Sam during the day, and at night, they set up spotlights on certain parts of the run – like the ranch and shark fin – to capture the same tricks so they could switch between light and dark during the video.
“Sam’s been a super hard worker this whole shoot and putting up with some insane hours and insane levels of perfectionism, so I’m really grateful that he’s been such a treat to work with,” said Scott during the filming of “Day & Night.”
If executing these skills in the dark isn’t enough to convince you of Sam’s extreme talent, then consider that on the final day of filming, he was flying through the air and controlling his bike while combatting gusts of strong winds!
“It’s actually been a weird shoot in the way of, like, we’ve been doing stuff all day, but it doesn’t feel like I’ve ridden that much because it’s taken ages to do each shot, so we’re kind of counting on today to get a few more bangers,” Sam said on the last day of shooting.
After five days, filming was complete and the result is definitely worth a watch. Check out “Day & Night” with Sam Pilgrim and the behind-the-scenes video of “Day & Night,” too.
