    Retail Design Project Leader

    Job description

    The Retail Design Project Leader has an eye for the unusual and brings ideas adapted to trends, innovation and lifestyle for our Swatch Stores worldwide. You lead projects from design inception and construction management to delivery completion in collaboration with the Head of Retail Design and the different involved departments of our company.

     

    Typical activities include:

     

    • Keep track and share knowledge, strategies and concepts on best Environment Design cases (trends, markets, experience, etc.)
    • Coordinate all phases of Retail Environment Design projects with external designers and suppliers (design, architecture and construction overview)
    • Management of project schedules/deadlines
    • Create all necessary documents related to any new design studies and/or development for internal & external purposes
    • Provide guidance and detailed descriptions of Retail Design concepts and their implementation, as well as propose alternative solutions when needed
    • Set-up and adapt new Retail Design guidelines according to developed concepts
    • Control and insure the respect of Retail Design guidelines when visiting markets
    • Closely collaborate with the Procurement department for the development of design elements
    • Support the design and implementation of Swatch events (ex. Pop-ups, main international launch events, sponsor events)
    • Deliver and control everyday project documentation (project sheets, purchase orders, time schedules, etc...)

    Profile

    We are looking for a highly flexible and motivated team player with acute spatial and visual awareness as well as flair for attractive design solutions. You are well literate in architectural drafting with strong knowledge of construction and furniture production technologies. Thanks to your strong organisational skills you know how to lead a project from start to finish. Detail-oriented with ability to multi-task, you are able to prioritize in order to maintain deadlines.

    Professional requirements

    • Architecture, Interior Design or related degree
    • Min. 5 years’ professional experience (Retail experience is a strong asset)
    • Proficiency in CAD (preferably AutoCAD) and the usual graphic software (Adobe Creative Suite)

    Languages

    You are Bilingual English/ French or English/German. Every additional language is an asset.

    In this position, you are responsible for the order management of all merchandising materials for Swatch & Flik Flak as well as the forecasting and order replenishment of Swatch SAV Bracelets. You will also support the planning of the watches and bracelets for both brands. Your main tasks will include: 

    • Administration and management of the supply and demand for all merchandising materials -visuals, leaflets, press kits, and long term materials
    • Assure Market response to new offerings, manage all issues and inquiries concerning merchandising materials
    • Proactive involvement in resolution of demand and overstock issues, as well as Planning System Issues. Responsible for the continual improvement of MPS (Planning System)
    • Lead the weekly Collateral Launch Review Meetings
    • Analysis and control of Market Merchandising Planning
    • Training of MPS System to Markets
    • Allocation of references on limited supply
    • Support the sales estimations with the preparation of the tool and performance analysis by market and collection
    • Distribution of all Samples to the markets
    • Planning of SAV bracelets on a weekly basis
    • SAV Catalogue updates to the markets

     In addition, you will conduct ad-hock analysis upon request.

    Autonomous and reliable, in this position your flexibility, attention to detail and organisational skills will be called upon. You are a self-motivated, proactive, open minded team player and you have the ability to coordinate as well as good leadership qualities.

    Professional requirements

    You bring a commercial background with at least 3 years working experience in related fields. With your dynamic personality, you are used to work with numbers and you have good analytical and problem solving skills. In addition, you have knowledge of MS-Office (Excel) and SAP ERP system.

    Languages

    Fluency in English (verbal and written), as well as good knowledge of German and French is required.

    Job description

    In order to reinforce the Retail Operations International team at our Headquarters in Biel/Bienne, Switzerland, SWATCH is currently searching for a

     Learning & Development Team Leader (F/M) 100%

    In this position your role is to coordinate all Learning & Development activities worldwide, to provide top-notch service to around 3000 employees in about 800 stores. You will be responsible, in collaboration with your team, for the follow-up, implementation and development of the retail training strategy for our retail staff: matrix, modules, contents and all related guidelines and materials, as well as training and support to the trainers of our subsidiaries (approx 24 trainers worldwide).

     Main tasks will include:

    • Lead, coordination and support of the team (4 employees)
    • Implement the established Training Strategy following the business needs in collaboration with the Retail Operations Manager
    • Development of the training concept with new modules, or updating the existing modules, materials and guidelines to the business needs
    • Implementation of training through the Train the Trainers
    • Ensure that trainings are delivered as per HQ requirements
    • Support and maintain permanent contact with HQ Departments and trainers worldwide
    • Assure the correct update and implementation of e-learning worldwide
    • Review of Manuals (SOM)
    • Understand and analyse sales figures and KPI’s
    • Create reportings related to trainings and sales figures
    • Search for new, innovative ways to train and implement it into the Swatch Retail Network

    Profile

    You are a professional with proven project management skills and have the ability to manage multiple projects, meet and work effectively under time and resource constraints.

    To be successful in this role you have a strong customer focus, are commitment to innovation and continuous improvement. You are analytical and creative-capable of flexing solutions to changing demands. In addition, you have a demonstrated ability to gather, analyze information from multiple sources and recognize opportunities.

    As a team player with good human relationship skills, you have the ability to coordinate, delegate and to motivate a team. Nevertheless, you are able to work independently with strong initiative. You are proactive and autonomous but at the same time detail oriented. You are used to work in a fast moving & ever changing, international environment. Your creativity allows you to find out-of-the-box ideas and achieve goals successfully.

    Professional requirements

    You bring a Bachelor’s Degree including 3 years of experience in the training and development field in a retail multinational company. Moreover, you have experience working across cultures and in a matrixed environment. You have no problems working with numbers and have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

    Languages

    Languages: excellent written and spoken communication skills in English; French, German or any other language would be a plus.

    Job description

    In this position, you are the information exchange point between the Product Development department and the Designers, the Marketing, Procurement, Legal department etc, as well as the Production. You ensure a regular flow of information for daily business matters and act as assistant to the Head of Product Development and Creative Director.

    In addition to your assistant responsibilities, you ensure the Product coordination and legal protection management as well as manage the customers’ requests and inputs and proactively answer them.

    Daily tasks will include:

    General Assistance

    • Organisation of internal and external meetings or business trips (incl. facilitation “sûr place”, documents/presentations preparation )
    • Screening and liaising for all incoming calls for the Head of Product Development
    • Support in different kind of projects and coordination with departments / stakeholders
    • Correspondence in English, French, German; preparation of materials for signature (incl. expenses, absences)
    • Absence control and approval as well as Office supply orders for the product development team
    • Budget responsibility with the following specific tasks:
      • Preparation & Follow-up of the Product department’s budget (direct & indirect costs/project budgets)
      • Preparation of order requests, credit notes and forms for the budget processes
      • Control and classification of invoices

    Product Coordination and Legal protection management

    • Organise the creation of 3D Renderings in collaboration with our designers and the Product Team
    • Administration of the design contracts in collaboration with our designers and the legal team
    • Administration of processes with focus on permissions and upload of new collections
    • Creation of Powerpoint collection presentations for seasonal presentations and marketing meetings
    • Preparation of training presentations for new collections and specials
    • Legal protection management: Legal protection of all collection references & specials, research/validation of names, organisation of processes around these tasks, etc
    • Management of customer requests/customer inputs and pro-actively answer them “2nd level support” for Customer service; managing design/development propositions

    Profile

    We are looking for an autonomous, flexible, proactive and trustworthy personality, able to handle complex situations and react accordingly while always keeping a global overview. You have a good sense of figures and a business mind-set as well as well-developed communication and organisational skills. Finally, you are comfortable in fast-paced, international environments with ever-changing priorities.

    Professional requirements

    • Commercial/ Business Degree
    • Good understanding of the design and fashion industry, art, design and lifestyle
    • Proactivity the ability to coordinate and organise
    • Good interpersonal and communication skills and open minded

    Languages

    You have good written and verbal communication skills in English, French and German. Italian is a plus.
