18 January 2026

In 2026, the Swatch Art Peace Hotel proudly celebrates its 15th anniversary, a major milestone in Swatch’s long-standing commitment to nurturing artistic innovation. To celebrate, the artist residency is launching a year-long calendar of exciting events, beginning with the Art Journey 2026 Exhibition.
Running from January 16 to February 15, 2026, this unique exhibition brings together more than 20 current and former Swatch Art Peace Hotel artists-in-residence, whose works embody the residency’s enduring spirit of artistic experimentation and innovation.
The showcase unfolds across four striking themes, conceptually inspired by the latest chapter of the Swatch Art Journey, each one offering visitors a lens through which to experience the rich diversity of artwork featured:
Alchemy: This theme draws inspiration from the raw energy of abstract art, with each piece acting as a call to imagination and the discovery of new artistic languages.
Dance: This theme spotlights creations that embody softness, sophistication, and a touch of new romanticism, with each artwork serving as an invitation tofeel the beat and move to the music of love.
Water and Light: This theme highlights works of art that are inspired by nature, the magic of reflection and refraction, and the illusion of the immaterial.
Power of Women: This theme is a passionate celebration of the strength, determination and imagination, realism and creativity of women.
Together these four themes form a vibrant artistic journey shaped by individual visions yet united under Swatch’s commitment to innovation, expression, and limitless imagination.
“Celebrating 15 years of the Swatch Art Peace Hotel means celebrating the artists who have made it what it is today, a hub of creativity and positive energy” said Carlo Giordanetti, CEO Swatch Art Peace Hotel, “The Art Journey 2026 Exhibition not only honours them and their contributions, but marks the beginning of many exciting events still to come, all centred on celebrating Swatch’s long time commitment and passion for the arts.”
The latest chapter in the Swatch Art Journey: is the Swatch x Guggenheim Collection: four stunning watches, inspired by the works of legendary artists Edgar Degas, Paul Klee, Claude Monet and Jackson Pollock. Created in collaboration with the Guggenheim New York and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection in Venice, this collection showcases designs inspired by renowned artists, featured in the Swatch Art Journey for the first time.

Opened in November 2011, it provides artists with a unique experience, a hub of creativity and an incubator for creative projects where their artistic careers evolve, and new ideas come to life. Invited talents are given space and time to work in freedom and develop themselves in a dynamic community of extraordinary, international, creative, and challenging minds. Since its opening, the artist residency has welcomed over 600 artists from 60 countries, fostering an environment rooted in history yet resolutely contemporary, ready for the future.
