Rising Australian talent brings fearless style and drive

Australian surfing sensation Hughie Vaughan is the latest addition to the Swatch Proteam. At just 19, Hughie has already made headlines in the international surfing scene with his daring approach and undeniable talent, quickly establishing himself as one of the sport’s most exciting emerging stars.

Hailing from the New South Wales Central Coast, Hughie grew up on North Shelly, honing his skills alongside his three older brothers and surfing royalty from day one. He first picked up a board at just two years old and hasn’t slowed down since. Crowned 2023 Stab Magazine Junior of the Year, Hughie claimed his first WSL Pro Junior victory in 2024 and followed it up with another Pro Junior title. Following the Swatch Nines Surf 2025, where he threw down a jaw-dropping Stalefish Backflip, the first ever landed and widely called the “best air in surfing”, he carried that same momentum into a breakthrough win at Stab High Japan 2025.

Known for charging some of the world’s most challenging breaks and pushing the limits of aerial surfing Hughie embodies raw talent, relentless drive, and a fearless competitive spirit.

Hughie’s combination of skill, ambition, and passion makes him a perfect fit for the Swatch Proteam, and we are looking forward to helping him make waves in the industry.
