Making his own mark
Born in 2011 to a Japanese mother and British father, Ocean grew up immersed in skate culture alongside his sister, Sky. In 2019, he was at Simple Session supporting Sky. Now he’s back, not as a spectator but as a competitor ready to prove himself. With an instinct for progression, Ocean is one of the most exciting young talents in skateboarding today.
Style, flow, and staying in the moment
Ocean’s style is simple, chill, unique, and cool. He loves being comfortable but is drawn to things outside the box. When he’s locked into a run, his mind is laser focused on nothing but the landing. That flow state is where he feels most alive.
Outside the norm, pushing boundaries
Ocean loves that Swatch is outside the norm and pushes boundaries, just like he does. Style is everything in skating, so it’s cool to embrace that in what he wears too. His current go-to? When Ocean’s not skateboarding, he loves fishing, surfing, and dirt biking, always finding ways to be outside in nature. He has dual British-Japanese heritage through his British father, Stuart, and Japanese mother, Mieko, connecting him to rich cultural traditions.
