World-class Swatch Proteam athletes gathered for its epic summit

Gathering the world’s best athletes in one place normally happens at events like the Olympic Games or World Cups. This October, it happened at the Swatch Proteam Athletes Summit 2022 in Taghazout, Morocco, and it was awesome!

Since 1989, Swatch has been an avid champion of action sports. The SwatchProteam is here to support the best athletes in the world and emerging talent across various disciplines and promotes activity as an outlet for creativity and personal expression. The annual summit is where Swatch Proteam athletes meet at an incredible location to bond, share ideas to inspire each other, present the projects they are working on with the support of Swatch, and make memories they’ll never forget.

Some things are worth the wait, and after a five-year hiatus, the summit was back and bigger than ever. From October 17-21, 2022, Taghazout welcomed fourteen Swatch Proteam athletes from around the world and different action sports disciplines: MTB and BMX riders, longboarders, beach volleyballers, free skiers, snowboarders, and surfers.

Newcomers to the Swatch Proteam Andy Anderson, Lourie Blouin, Casey Brown, Finn Iles, Lotfi Lamaali, Pat Burgener and the rest of the crew Xavier de le Rue, Coco Ho, Nina Betschart, Tanja Hüberli, Cody Townsend, Sam Pilgrim, Sam Anthamatten, Matthias Dandois made the most of their time in Morocco. Over the five days, the group skateboarded in the breath-taking Taghazout skatepark, camel trekked in the desert, surfed the best Moroccan waves, and sandboarded on the desert dunes. Then longboarded in the streets of the most beautiful Moroccan places, played beach volleyball and attended creative workshops to get even more familiar with the brand, exchanged personal projects to inspire each other and spark imaginations. The athletes took the opportunity to try out new disciplines and learn from the very best in the sport category.
