Swatch welcomes a talent making tracks in the snowboarding and music worlds

Pat Burgener is an impressive snowboarder and the latest athlete to bring his skill and sound to the Swatch Proteam. The two-time Olympian from Switzerland has got style, board control and plenty of podiums under his belt. He is also riding high in the music world.

Pat has been hitting the slopes since he was 4 years old. He joined the Swiss national team at 14 and landed the world's first Switch Backside Triple Cork 1440 in April 2011. Halfpipe, slopestyle, or backcountry, he throws himself headlong into the air with style and skill. Like many top-level snowboarders, Pat was injured twice. Time is what you make of it, and Pat used his time recovering from an injury in 2014 to focus on his passion for music. He teamed up with his brother Max and a childhood friend Chris to form his own band and write his first songs. Along with his first musical successes, he started playing at world-class venues like the Montreux Jazz Festival and Sion Sous les Etoiles.

Soon, Pat was taking flight in both worlds. He has totalled over 10 million Spotify streams, and in Fall 2022 he will release his debut album, marking a significant milestone in his musical career. His comeback on snow has been full of high notes, including landing two podiums at the World Championships in 2017 and 2019 and 5th place at the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang. Alongside laying down more tracks in the studio, Pat has his sights set on the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics.
